Why did you choose the engineering profession?

It was in high school when I first came into contact with the profession when we were getting acquainted with the beauty of electronics and built our first working electric circuits in the labs. Later as we progressed we practiced building not only circuits, but also focused on various control technology systems and on their control and programming. That’s when it became clear to me that this is the field I want to work in later, so it was not too surprising that I went straight to continue my studies at the Kandó Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

How did you become a member of evopro?

When I was in my third year at the university I started thinking that beyond my specialization it would be useful for me to have some degree of professional experience before graduation – which was later confirmed by the labor market, too. Because a freshly graduated engineer with some experience is more desired by companies, too. This is why I started to inquire my school teachers about how I could accomplish this and which Hungarian companies they would recommend. I thought it was important to choose a company with outstanding industrial solutions in the field of automation, and preferably a Hungarian one. After searching a bit I found evopro. I thought it was worth a try, I submitted my application for internship to which I was successfully admitted in 2014, and a year later, after graduation, I became a full-time member of the team.

On what projects do you work here?

I didn’t have to wait long for my first “real” project, because the ink barely dried on my employment contract when I already received an invitation to participate in a project of our partner company. This was completely in line with my plans, so naturally I said yes. This is how I got first to Lébény, then not long after that to Germany where I am involved in the installation of an assembly line of a modern electric power steering system. I’ve been there twice now during the past year and a half. It was a good feeling that as I learned more and more about the assembly line and about the operation of the machines, the customer has entrusted me with more, larger and larger tasks which I tried to solve to the best of my abilities. Currently I work in Germany at the chassis factory of Daimler AG in Sindelfingen where we are working at a manufacturing plant that’s already in production. In parallel with the continuous production of the first model we are carrying out the expansion and optimization for the second model, and the commissioning and integration of the third model. Together with two of my colleagues my job is to develop and supervise the PLC programs on all six of the assembly lines that evopro is responsible for.

What are your plans for your future here?

I feel there are still many opportunities for me in the world of commissioning, to learn about various technologies and standards. And during my work abroad to learn about how to work together with other professionals in international teams of various compositions, even in a foreign language, to get the best out of a project as a team. And evopro provides all the opportunity and support to accomplish this.
